Edith Wilson Woodrow's legacy after death

$200.00

Edith Bolling Wilson – LS, October 25, 1924, personal letterhead. Just eight months after Woodrow’s death, Wilson thanks publisher Edward Bok for sending a tribute to Wilson from the Netherlands. With wonderful perspective on her husband’s reputation she writes, in part: “I do feel very strongly that the partisan prejudice against Mr. Wilson’s ideals is breaking down. There is something in the majesty of death that silences.”

There is a slight tear above the letterhead address, otherwise a fine letter with nice content and association.
