Orville Wright – signed bank check from 1943. A desirable and affordable example of an autograph by Orville Wright, aviation pioneer and co-inventor of the first successful powered airplane. The brother’s made history at Litty Hawk, NC, in 1903 when Orville was able to sustain and control flight for 12 seconds over 120 feet.
Condition: the May 7, 1943 to “Walkers” for $103.58 was drawn on The Winters National Bank & Trust CO. of Dayton Ohio. It measures 8.5 x 3. Three small cancellation holes touch the left edge of the “O” in his signatures, making this a better example than many but not perfect. Checks signed by Wright, such as this example, are visually appealing and nice affordable autographs of this pioneering giant.
